notoc(h)orde(notocorde, notochorde), subst. fém., embryol. Synon. de corde dorsale. L'embryon humain a d'abord une notocorde et un coeur en forme de tube (CUÉNOT, J. ROSTAND, Introd. génét., 1936, p.65). La notochorde représente le squelette axial primitif de l'embryon (Lar. encyclop.).
